Valentines falls on 14 February every year.
Now, the commercialized Vdays are usually lovey dovey, kissing couples and
sex in bed?
Well, today I am going to give you people the true story of Vday.
Valentines Day was started by Saint Valentine.
As mentioned, he is a priest during the Roman Empire.
Rome was ruled by Emperor Claudius the Cruel.
He found out that most young men did not want to join the
army because of their love towards their family and loved ones.
In order to recruit more soldiers, Emperor Caludius cancelled all
marriages and and engagement in
Rome.
Being a kind fella, St Valentines secretly aided the marriage of young couples
with the help of St Marius.
Emperor Claudius found out about the undergoings of St Valentines and
placed him in jail to be executed.
During his time, St Valentines befriended with the jailer and his daughter.
Well, I think St Valentines fell in love with the daughter and
on February 14, St Valentines send a love letter to her which
he signed, from your valentines.
He was later beheaded.
Valentines day nowadays are about chocolates, roses, and fine dining.
Well, couples should know that true love does not come
from material things.
You cannot say that if your boyfriend brought you an LV bag, that means he truely loves you.
Or if your girlfriend brought you some cool gadget, does not mean she loves
you a lot.
Love comes from action.
Sacrificial action.
Not the actions which you see only on Valentines day, but the actions done
every second, every minute, every day.
One cannot expect to be ultra nice to their love ones and be another the next day.
Imagine the sacrifice St Valentines did by marrying the couples.
He knew the consequences was terrible but he knew that love cannot be torn apart.
So, be sure whether your Valentine is sincere and not materialistic.

I liked ur blog about Valentines day. I'm familiar with this issue for rather a long time and honestly saying i'm surprised that u went so far into this issue. Indeed, I completely agree with ur thoughts that love does not need special occasions to be shown. Shortly, good blog!
